KEVIN BURNETT

CHIEF INFORMATION AND INNOVATION OFFICER

Kevin Burnett is the Chief Information and Innovation Officer at Imagine, Believe, Realize (IBR). In this role, Kevin is responsible for all internal Information Technology operations, and internal research & development pilots. Kevin supports IBR customers as a Principal Solution Architect helping achieve digital transformation outcomes across the spectrum of people, process, and technology. Kevin is also responsible for driving organizational culture change in support of the IBR workforce through company strategic transformation initiatives.

Prior to joining IBR, Kevin served as the Chief Digital Transformation Officer at Definitive Logic. In this role, Kevin led several successful captures as a Solution Architect supporting Federal and DoD Business System customers.

Prior to industry, Kevin had a 20+ year career as a Federal Employee supporting the DoD. His last role in the Federal Government was a Senior Scientific Technical Manager (SSTM) serving as the Technical Director for the Navy’s Program Executive Office Manpower, Logistics, and Business Solutions (PEO MLB). As the Technical Director of PEO MLB, Kevin was responsible for the overall technical strategy for the PEO to include organizational alignment to drive internal innovation. He established the PEO Innovation Support Services organization to assist program offices with culture change and workforce empowerment.

Kevin was selected as one of the first Pioneer’s in Residence to help stand up the Assistant Secretary of the Navy Research, Development, and Acquisition (ASN RDA) Agility Cell, NAVALX. At NAVALX, Kevin established the first Digital Line of Effort, responsible for implementing the digital tools for all NAVALX engagement activities.

Prior to NAVALX, Kevin has held various technical leadership positions supporting DON and DoD organizations with basic research, software development, systems engineering, solution architecture, culture change, digital transformation, and commercial cloud strategy and migration.

Kevin originally hails from New York, New York and has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Additional certifications include AWS Solution Architect, Agile SCRUM master and SCRUM Product Owner, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, LUMA Design Thinking, DAWIA level III IT, PM and SPRDE.
